Chamber Strings (CH)
- 9th Grade – No Audition
- Chamber Strings is the class for all 9th grade orchestra students that play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. There is no audition requirement for this class. Students in this class perform OMEA Class C high school level music. Chamber Strings generally performs 4-5 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are encouraged.
Classic Strings (CL)
- 10th Grade – No Audition
- Classic Strings is the class for all 10th grade orchestra students that play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. There is no audition requirement for this class. Students in this class perform OMEA Class C high school level music. Classic Strings generally performs 4-5 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are encouraged.
Concert Strings (CO)
- 11th & 12th Grade – No Audition
- Concert Strings is the class for all 11th & 12th grade orchestra students that play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. There is no audition requirement for this class. Students in this class perform OMEA Class B or C high school level music. Concert Strings generally performs 4-5 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are encouraged.
Symphony Strings (SS)
- All grades, Audition Required
- Symphony Strings is an audition-required invitational class for students in grades 9-12. This is for musicians who play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. Students in this class perform OMEA Class A high school level music. Symphony Strings performs 6-8 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are encouraged.
Select Strings (SEL)
- All grades, Audition Required
- Select Strings is an audition-required invitational class for students in grades 9-12. This is for musicians who play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. Students in this class perform OMEA Class AA high school level music. Select Strings performs 8-10 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.
Symphony Orchestra (SO)
- All grades, Audition Required
- Symphony Orchestra is an audition-required invitational class for students in grades 9-12. This is for musicians who play the violin, viola, cello, bass and harp, as well as for students who play traditional band instruments. Students in this class perform OMEA Class A high school level music. Symphony Orchestra meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm and performs 4-5 concerts per school year. Private Lessons are encouraged.
