Stoller Fundraiser FAQs:

WHY DO I HAVE TO WRITE ONE CHECK?
This is the question we hear most each year. We promise we're not trying to be difficult. There are several reasons for this, all of which pertain to the size of our program.  With nearly 600 students in the orchestra program in the 2019-2020 school year, we are already facing the potential to collect 600 checks if every student were to sell.  Even if only 2/3 of students participate in the fundraiser, if each student turns in 1 check, that is 400 checks.  That's a lot of checks to keep track of! So why does that matter?
1.  There is a limit on how many checks we can deposit in a month without incurring additional fees.
2. There's an increased chance of errors in the banking process as the number of checks increases.
3. With the increase in checks per student, there is an increase in the time and effort required to process all of those checks.  If each student turns in multiple checks, imagine the extra accounting required to make sure that each individual order total matches the total turned in by that student; to make sure that the total cost of all orders matches the total being deposited; and to ensure that all checks are properly accounted for in the actual process of depositing.  Further, there is the process of recording each of the checks received for our own records.  As all of our board members are volunteers who do not receive any compensation for their time invested in this program, we are humbly asking for your help to keep our extra work, accounting efforts, and opportunities for issues to a minimum.

WHAT IF WE DON'T WANT TO SELL, BUT WE WANT TO HELP THE PROGRAM?
This is another very common question. Every year there are families who would rather not participate in the fundraiser, but they want to do something to support the program.  Because we have the opportunity to earn additional fundraising money from Stoller for reaching or exceeding certain levels of sales from one year to the next, our fundraising efforts are most successful when families participate.  That being said, we understand that some families have objections to participating for reasons that are important to them, and that's perfectly understandable.  If you are one of those families who would prefer to not participate, but you still want to support POB and the orchestra program, there are a few options.
1. You can just give money.  Instead of turning in an order form at the end of the fundraising period, you can simply turn in a check for donation to the organization. Checks should be written to POB, just the same as fundraiser checks.
2. Similarly, you can give online in tandem with the fundraiser or at any other time during the year.
3. You can support the organization by becoming a patron or a corporate sponsor.

IF I CAN'T PICK UP ON DELIVERY DAY, CAN YOU HOLD MY PRODUCTS FOR ME?
Unfortunately, the answer to this is no.  The school does not provide any freezer space for us to store products that are not picked up.  Because the products are frozen, it is very important for the integrity of the product quality and safety that you make arrangements to pick up during the delivery hours posted.  If you or someone in your family is unable to pick up, maybe make arrangements with a neighbor or a classmate.  Truly, if we COULD accommodate you in holding your order for a day or two, we would be happy to. We just don't have anywhere to put it to keep it frozen.  Thanks for understanding.

CAN ORDERS BE PLACED ONLINE?
There are some Perrysburg School District restrictions in place that don't fit with the online sales platform currently available. The District's policies are in place with the absolute priority of keeping our students and their personal and school information safe. Student safety is non-negotiable, and no amount of online convenience is worth the risk.  We know as parents, guardians, friends, and family, you wouldn't want us to compromise on this.
This doesn't mean you can't take advantage of email and social media to help your student succeed in meeting their goals.  You can download and share the image at the top of this page, or share an electronic brochure with your friends and family.
